Founded in 1956 by Christos Sextos, father of Dimitrios and Georgios Sextos who are the current owners of Nea Exfrut S.A. Since the company’s establishment, its main activities have been packing and exporting fresh greek fruits of excellent quality. Nea Exfrut S.A. operates in its current form with great success since 1991. Sextos Brothers have expanded the company by building new facilities, including a modern packing house that operates with the latest machinery for round fruits and cherries according to the international standards of food safety and hygiene. Today, Nea Exfrut S.A. is one of the biggest companies in packing and exporting fresh fruits all over Greece.

Facilities

The main facilities of “Nea Exfrut S.A.” spread in a 10.000 m2 building site in Skidra Pellas comprising of the head offices, the packing house, cold store and storage installations, as well as the products delivery area and a parking lot. In this year was completed the new packing house of the company in the village Rizo Pellas which is one of the most contemporary sites in Europe, spread in a 10.000 m2 building with 8 cold rooms, with total capacity of 5000 tons of kiwi and stone fruit(peaches-nectarines-apricots-pomegranates), air-conditioned production space with ultra-modern sorting and packing facilities, 200 m2 offices that is connected with the other two points of the company (Edessa main Offices-Skidra cold store-packing house) as well as the company’s presentation room. Furthermore store rooms for packaging materials, parking lot and space for delivery of agricultural products. On this day the company has combined total 20000 m2 building sites plus 18000 m2 of forecourt. The company recently bought a 500000 m2 field to grow its own cherries. The long aim of the company is the agricultural production which will offer the consumers controlled and total certified products, securing the consumers health and safety.
